I never set out to buy a golf course. I didn’t wake up one morning thinking, “You know what I need in my portfolio? Fairways and flagsticks.” But life has a funny way of giving you the opportunities you’re prepared for—if you’re paying attention.
In early 2025, I officially became a part-owner of Wemberly Hills Golf Course, a 9-hole course tucked into the hills of Olyphant, Pennsylvania. It’s not Pebble Beach—but it has something more important: potential.
🔍 Why Wemberly?
When I first toured the property, it wasn’t just the landscape that caught my attention. It was the local league play, the loyal customer base, and the bones of a business that had weathered decades. There was opportunity here—not just to make a return, but to create a lasting impact.
This wasn’t just an investment in land. It was a bet on:
- Small-town community pride
- The enduring appeal of golf
- And the ability to add value, not just extract it
💼 What We’re Doing Differently
Since stepping in, we’ve started making smart, strategic upgrades. Here’s the game plan:
- Indoor Golf Simulator – Year-round play, even in winter.
- Expanded Food & Beverage Service – Because every great round ends with a drink and a story.
- Event & League Growth – Weekly leagues are back, and we’re hosting new events for players of all ages.
- Modernization – From booking systems to marketing, we’re bringing the operation into the 2020s.
We’re also planning seasonal events, charity tournaments, and possibly even night golf down the line. Because the real vision is to make Wemberly Hills more than just a course—it’s becoming a hub.
🌱 Why This Matters (and What You Can Learn)
This deal is a reminder that alternative assets aren’t just spreadsheets and passive income. Sometimes they’re real places that create real community value.
I didn’t grow up dreaming of owning a golf course, but I’ve always been drawn to investments that combine:
- Cash flow
- Control
- And the ability to make something better than how I found it
That’s what Wemberly Hills is to me.
